Where our data comes from.
Make career decisions based on verifiable market baselines, direct employer transparency, and documented trends across professions that wear scrubs.
How we source our data
Verified Employer Feeds
We use official employer career pages and approved partner sources. When an employer publishes a salary range, we record it exactly as written. We do not copy listings from other job boards, so you can see where each role came from.
Official Labor Statistics
We integrate data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and other official government sources. This provides a mathematically sound, legally audited baseline for recognized occupations in specific geographies.
No made-up pay ranges
We keep employer-posted pay, official market data, and member reports separate. If we cannot find reliable official data for your role and location, we leave the market estimate blank instead of guessing.
We don’t assume a job has closed
Sometimes an employer’s job page is down or shows only some openings. When that happens, we don’t immediately remove jobs we cannot see. Their Last Confirmed dates stop updating, so you can tell when we last checked them.
Why salary averages can mislead
A single average can hide important differences in specialty, location, experience, and pay type. Without that context, it is easy to misread what an offer is worth.
That is why scrubs.careers keeps employer-posted pay, official market estimates, and member reports separate, with the source and context clearly labeled. When reliable evidence is not available, we do not guess.
